Orcutt Ranch, West Hills {Danielle & Tommy} .Wedding.

Danielle & Tommy’s wedding was so warm, friendly and filled with unique DIY (do-it-yourself) details that were so them.  When we arrived at  the Orcutt Ranch horticultural center Tommy was working hard getting things ready for their wedding to the very end.  ”Let me know when you need me for pictures” -Tommy.  All your hard work really showed!

Brandi & I were beaming when we saw all the fruit filled trees, dappled lighting, an old spanish style building, large red barn, fountain, roses & all the fabulous personal touches they put on everything!! We had such a great time photographing these two and getting to know them and their families.  Both of their fathers use to photograph weddings, and Danielle’s dad confessed to following my blog;)Thank you!!

I would also like to send my deepest sympathies to Danielle’s family. Her grandmother Lola passed only 6 days after Danielle’s wedding. I feel very fortunate for being able to photograph some of her last days here.

YES that is a praymantis perched on his shoulder!  OH, btw this is Tommy’s friend & officiant.Tommy proposed to Danielle on a trip to Europe so they had a French themed wedding complete with Eiffel Towers, mustaches, French food & Crepe cart!! yumm. Tommy and his friends have this running thing going where they are the officiant for each others weddings. SO COOL!Danielle’s only special request for the photography was ‘jumping pictures’. We took tons.Since there were lots of grapefruit groves we had to use them in a special way with the rings to tie the whole day together. They were really tasty too.Loved her dress & all the little details.Danielle had this cupcake holder specially made. It started out as a larger version of the Eiffel Tower on the left, and then she had shelfs welded on to make this awesome (and incredibly unique) cupcake display.

We took lots of fun photo’s!
Their guest book was a typewriter and old post cards.  Danielle is a freelance journalist so this was perfect, she has several blogs you can follow. Danielle hand painted these cake toppers the day before her wedding to look exactly like them. SO CUTE!

passing out the cupcakes:)

As always, I think your photography is amazing. This couple is very cute and I totally dig the mustache thing they have going on.

I cannot stress how AMAZING Marcella & Brandi were the day of the wedding! All of our family members later commented on how hard they bustin’ their butts, and their dedication and talent definitely shows in the photos! I’m so happy they shot our wedding and I couldn’t have asked for better.

Alex — We made the mustaches ourselves…It was one of the fun projects we took up for our wedding :)
